My Favorite Rifle Scope

The other day, a friend and I were out hunting when he asked me which rifle scope I would recommend to him. He had one, but it was very old and had taken a beating in all of these years.

he was ready to purchase a new one and wanted advice from me, knowing that I have tried out dozens of scopes in the past several years.

I let him know that, of course it depended on what he was hunting and where, but I know his hunting habits, so I felt comfortable making a suggestion to him anyway. I recommended any scope from Bushnell. They are simply my favorite scope manufacturer hands down. Everything I have ever bought from them has been of super high quality and lasts forever. Additionally, any problem I have ever had with them (very few) has been solved extremely quickly through their awesome customer service.

The scope that I ended up recommending to my friend was a Bushnell 3200. This is a great, lower priced scope (if he wanted a higher priced one, I would have recommended the Bushnell 4200). Knowing that my friend will hunt in any weather, it was important that this scope was rain resistant with a generous light transmission factor. This means he can use it in any weather and in lower levels of sunlight as well.

It is also very durable, important because my friend has a tendency to abuse ( I mean, love!) his things. This scope is made from one single piece of aluminum, making it less likely to lose a part or break. Additionally, it is backed by some very good warranties.

This is a very lightweight scope. This is great for those of you who lug a lot with you when camping and hunting. It weighs under one pound!
